Stop-Loss & Take-Profit

Automate your exit. Set a price level and the system closes your position for you — whether you're watching the screen or not.

What they do

A Stop-Loss (SL) triggers a sell order when the asset price falls to your chosen level, capping your downside. A Take-Profit (TP) triggers a sell when the price rises to your level, locking in your gain.

Once triggered, the monitor sells the percentage of your position you configured — by default 100 %. The order routes through the same CLOB as a normal sell at market price.

Setting an SL / TP

There are three ways to place a level:

1

Type the price

Open the SL / TP panel (below the trade form or in the Positions tab). Type a USD price directly into the input. The line appears on the chart instantly as a live preview.

2

Click on the chart

Click the crosshair (⊕) icon next to SL or TP. The cursor changes — click anywhere on the Binance chart and the price at that pixel is captured and saved automatically.

3

Drag the line

After a level is set, a labelled handle appears on the chart. Hold and drag it up or down. The price updates in real-time as you move it, and persists when you release.

Before entry vs after entry

Pre-position (before you buy) — set SL / TP in the BUY panel before submitting an order. These are stored and automatically attached to the position the moment your buy fills. The trigger price is the underlying asset price (BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, HYPE, BNB), not the share price.
Post-position (while holding) — open the Positions tab, click the shield icon on any open position, and set SL / TP there. Changes take effect immediately.

How the monitor works

A server-side monitor polls live prices every few seconds. When a price crosses your trigger:

  • The SL / TP order is marked as triggered.
  • A sell order is placed for the configured percentage of your shares.
  • The order routes to the Polymarket CLOB at market price.
  • If the order fills, the position size is reduced accordingly.

The trigger checks the Binance spot price for the asset — the same price shown on the chart. This makes the level easy to reason about: "if BTC drops below $70,000, sell."

Amount

The Amount % field controls how much of your position is sold when triggered. 100 % closes the full position. 50 % halves it. You can set different amounts for SL and TP — for example, take profit on 50 % to de-risk while leaving the rest to run.

Updating or removing

Type a new price and click Update, drag the chart handle to a new level, or click the trash icon to delete the order entirely. A checkmark (✓) next to the price field shows a level is currently active.

Important limits

  • SL / TP orders are not guaranteed fills. If the market gaps through your level (e.g. a sudden spike), the fill price may differ from the trigger price.
  • Only one SL and one TP per position. Setting a new one replaces the existing one.
  • Pre-position orders only attach to the next buy for that asset + outcome + interval combination. They do not apply retroactively to existing positions.
  • Orders are cancelled if you fully exit the position before they trigger.
